Ballistic United holds 40th Summer Classic Tournament

Ballistic United's U-17 team outscored their opponents 12-1 on their way to knocking off Bay Oaks Gold in the championship game! Saturday's early morning opponent Bullard FC Blue had a long drive which likely aided in Ballistic's 6-0 victory. Alex Laughton and Nicolai Littleton had standout performances. They followed up with a 2-0 win over Bay Oaks Scicluna and goalkeeper Jeremy Tanti and a stingy defense led by Nic Carillo, Alex Blidy and Alika Okimitsu were happy with two shutouts. Sunday found us playing our long term rival Walnut Creek who always play us tough. A goal by Ballistic's Brandon Smith was the lone goal in a 1-0 win. Wes Moar, Adam Keaveny and Daniel Rodriguez played well in the effort. Bay Oaks Gold, the point leader through the preliminary round was to be our opponent in the final. The game started out fairly even and then Ballistic took control with two goals from Brandon Smith with the final goal by Derryk Walcott. Ballistic earned a 3-1 victory and took home first place out of 16 teams. Congratulations Ballistic United!!
