2013 u10 academy |
|||||||||||||
The U10 Age group is in Stage 1 of Development which is described as Mastery of the Ball (Skills) and Dominating the 1v1. The main emphasis will be when “we” have the ball (offense). There will be little emphasis on coaching when “they” have the ball (defense) with the main goal being to get the ball back. The main objective within the curriculum is to develop soccer personalities while having players emulate their favorite players. We will challenge each player to develop skill by playing with the ball as much as they can.
SACQA CurriculumCoordination; with/without ball, ladders, hurdles, balance, agility, running form, anaerobic speed training, cardiovascular conditioning, warm up/cool down
Program ConceptThe BUSC U10 Program will be open to 48-60 players. The entire group will train three times per week at the same time and location (academy style). Players will benefit by being coached by all U10 Academy Staff.
PhilosophyThe BUSC U10 program provides the highest quality development in the Tri-Valley area for players who desire to build a strong foundation for playing competitive soccer. The U10 Program is designed to create an exciting environment that will motivate players to develop technical ability and foster a passion for soccer.
Team FormationThe club will be using the Spring session to determine how players will be placed on teams. Teams will be formed around mid May. We highly encourage players to attend as many sessions during this time as possible in order to be properly placed.
