The Ballistic United Soccer Club is all about many avenues to help develop their players.
With a mission statement of, “To develop young men to their full potential through the beautiful game of soccer,” BUSC utilizes several methods to help their players achieve the mission.
One such direction is the embracing of new technology. The most recent BUSC partnership with Playermaker, a technology company out of Florida, continues to show their commitment to their base.
Playermaker is the No. 1 preferred wearable performance tracking and monitoring device of top soccer players around the world. From Toronto FC, LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, New York Red Bulls to the University of North Carolina, Yale, University of Pittsburgh, USC, Harvard and many more.
The company originally designed Playermaker to be a “squad” format, where to be complete, it had to be used by an entire team. To make it cost effective, PlayerMaker developed an individual unit – the UNO.
“This last spring our U14 Development academy team tested and benefited from the technology provided by Playermaker,” said BUSC Technical Director Kevin Crow. “We are excited to be able to provide that same benefit to individual players at the club so they can continue to develop and improve. If your son is ambitious and always looking for an edge, I encourage you to take a minute and learn about Playmaker’s UNO product.”
By using the UNO, you can track number of touches, left vs right touches, possessions/involvement, time on the ball and average time on the ball, distance covered, number of sprints, as well as high intensity running, as well as many more.
Playermaker can be used not only by a player’s current coach to monitor training, but as a recruiting tool as well, allowing the player to push out the data to prospective college coaches.
As a member of Ballistic United, players are entitled to a Special Limited Time offer. An e-mail recently went out to all players with the special discount code. If you are a BUSC player and did not get the e-mail, please message the club on the Ballistic United Soccer Club Facebook or Instagram page!
