BUSC has partnered with local professionals moving forward to provide information, education, and services for our membership in the following categories: concussion evaluation/treatment, sports nutrition, sports injury prevention, surgery, & rehabilitation. Periodically during the year, our partners will be providing education to our members during information sessions touching on their expertise.

 Stanford Children’s medical has recently established services locally to serve the great tri-valley area and will focus their efforts on concussion related services, sports nutrition education, and sports injury prevention, education, and rehabilitation. Some of the conditions we treat:

  • Knee (ACL and Patella Femoral Pain)
  • Ankle Sprains and Instability
  • Ligament tears
  • Overuse injuries
  • Back pain
  • Stress fractures
  • Concussions
  • Physical Therapy for all injuries! (player’s do not need to be referred by Dr. Boyd or Dr. Chan)

 Erika Carlson, M.A., is a certified Sports mental skills coach continues her relations with our club by providing our players, parents, coaches, and teams vital information and education related to improving performance through mental skills development.  Her work focuses on helping her athletes improve their mental toughness and enjoyment of their sport by empowering her them with mental skills.  She has worked in the field of Applied Sport Psychology since 1998 and is the Founder of her firm, Excellence in Sport Performance.

Dr. Rob Walsh, a certified Chiropractic physician, will continue to work with the club to educate and rehabilitate players as needed. Dr. Walsh holds an active license to practice chiropractic in California and is certified as an x-ray supervisor and operator through the California Department of Radiology. A longtime sports and physical endurance participant, Dr. Walsh is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (C.C.S.P.). The American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians confers this designation following completion of a post-graduate program in sports medicine.
