BUSC announces restructuring to Board of Directors

Ballistic United Soccer Club (BUSC) is pleased to announce some recent re-structuring on the Board of Directors as a result of the Annual General Meeting held on May 6th.

Mike Montoya will move into the role of Vice-President, a role that had been vacant. Montoya served as the Recreational Director for the last 2-1/2 years.

Soccer has been an important part of Mike’s life from a very early age. He grew up playing competitive youth soccer in Fremont and continued playing in high school and at the University of California, Davis. He strongly believes that the skills he developed and the life experiences he had as a player helped prepare him for his life ahead.

Mike got involved with BUSC as a recreational coach for his son and took great joy in watching him advance to competitive soccer, growing both as a player and a person. He also has two daughters playing locally for Pleasanton Rage.

He views his role with BUSC’s Board of Directors as an opportunity to give back, saying:

“As the Vice President, I am looking forward to engaging with all the BUSC stakeholders to further integrate BUSC into the Pleasanton community.  I am fortunate to be in a role to give back to the game and ensure this opportunity continues to be available for all local families with players of all ages and abilities.”

In other Board news from the General Meeting: Scott McMillin was re-elected as President and Mike Brydson was re-elected as Treasurer for another 2-year term.  Brian Morin moved from Events Director to Recreational Director and Sai Yenduri is taking on the role of Business Development Director.

TJ Carrothers was highlighted as volunteer of the year with his commitment to COVID-related work as the Health and Safety Officer in addition to his role of Secretary.
