BUSC MLS NEXT COACHING QUESTIONNAIRE

Name: Brady Taylor

Team coaching: U13 MLS Next/Assistant Director of Coaching

Years with BUSC: Starting 2nd year

Soccer background: I have won State Cup as a player in California and have won State Cup as a coach in California and Arizona. After club I went on to play at Cal State Stanislaus where we had the most successful stretch in the school’s history, where we won the CCAA League Title and got into the NCAA Tournament twice. I was the team Captain for 2 years and was named on the All-Tournament Team, All-CCAA Team and All Far West Regional Team. After my four years I started coaching right away and spent time coaching with the San Jose Earthquakes Regional Development Team while being one of the assistant coaches at Cal State Stanislaus. I moved to Costa Rica where I worked for CONCACAF Professional 1st division team Deportivo Saprissa in an apprenticeship just before the World Cup, where seven of the starting Costa Rica National team players were playing for the team at the time when they got out of the group of death with Uruguay, Italy, and England in the 2014 World Cup. After this year long apprenticeship was over, I moved back to California and worked as a head coach in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy. After a year of working in the “DA” I moved on to be the first American to coach for F.C. Barcelona in their Residential Academy in Arizona. After 4½ years as a Head coach in their MLS Next teams, I am excited to be back where my roots are, working with Ballistic United as a Director and MLS Next Head coach.

What I love about BUSC: Ballistic is an incredible community-based club investing in their future and committed to their values as a club. The culture that the club had developed is a positive learning-based environment focused on the growth of players on and off the field. They are a club known for their desire to play and take a developmental approach on their play style and how they teach.
