Mike Brydson to leave BUSC Board of Directors

The secret to Ballistic United being among the elite youth soccer clubs in the United States is not just attracting top players and coaches, it is the ability of the club to bring together a core group of volunteers to form the Board of Directors.

These are the people that get stuff done behind the scenes with little to no fanfare. You get these people, and you are going to be successful. Mike Brydson, who has been with the club as the Treasurer the last two years, has been exactly such a person.

All good things must come to an end and it with sadness, we are sorry to announce Mike will be leaving Ballistic next month.

“Mike has done a great job as Board Treasurer over the past two years,” said BUSC President Scott McMillin. “Under his leadership, BUSC survived the drop in player registration numbers due to COVID and over the last year we significantly improved our financial situation. He helped onboard Andrea Olsen, our Finance Operations Manager, simplified the budgeting process and improved our operational efficiency.”

Brydson and his family are relocating to the Danville area from Pleasanton. He has enjoyed his time with BUSC and will miss working with the players, coaches, and the Board.

“It’s been a pleasure being part of the Board and hope my time there helped make the boys’ seasons even just a little bit more fun,” said Brydson.

Thank you Mike and we all wish you the best moving forward! If you are interested in applying for the Treasurer spot, or know anyone interested, please contact McMillin at scottmcmillin@busc.org.
