The BUSC Under-17 MLS Next team is standing on the edge of a big leap this weekend in the MLS Next playoffs.
Ballistic is part of a four-team, round-robin playoff where the top three teams will advance to Maryland in May for the MLS Next Interleague Playoffs.
Qualify out of Maryland and the team would advance to the MLS Next Cup Championship in Texas in late June.
The play-in tournament starts Friday night at the River Islands Sports Complex in Lathrop.
Ballistic opens the tournament Friday at 8 p.m. when they take on the Vancouver Whitecaps F.C. Game two takes place Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. as the boys’ face DeAnza. The final game of the tournament takes place Sunday morning at 10 a.m. when Ballistic closes with the Sacramento Republic.
