Former BUSC DA player Travian Sousa signs with Sporting Kansas City II!

Former Ballistic DA player Travian Sousa has signed a contract with Sporting Kansas City II, a USL team that is part of the Sporting Kansas City MLS club.

Before signing with Sporting KC II, Sousa spent a year and a half in Germany as part of Hamburger SV’s youth system from July 2019 to October 2020.

He signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2019 and went on to make 14 appearances with the club’s U-19s in the A-Junioren Bundesliga, tallying four assists. Sousa also made a pair of appearances for Hamburger SV II in the Regionalliga Nord – one in 2019 and one in 2020.

Sousa’s form saw him earn a call-up to first team training at Hamburg, currently in the Bundesliga, and he played 90 minutes in a friendly against Braunschweig in October 2019.

Sousa played for Ballistic until he aged out of the DA program, moving on to the Sacramento Republic FC after joining from Ballistic in 2016. In total, Sousa made 82 appearances in the USSDA, tallying 24 goals.

As far as international play, Sousa has been a regular member of the U.S. Youth National Team setup, representing his country at the U-14, U-19 and U-20 levels.
