As a parent/player, I will:

  • Abide by, and develop in my son, a respect for the rules of the games, other players, coaches, and referees.
  • Control my temper and demonstrate good sportsmanship towards all.
  • Be gracious when my team wins; be graceful when my team loses.
  • Respect, support, and assist all league volunteers, coaches, players and referees in creating a positive environment for learning and playing soccer.

BUSC follows the guidelines provided by US Soccer. These can be found at

Should BUSC move, delay, or cancel competitive soccer programming for pandemic-related reasons upon the advice of or due to restrictions by a governing entity or sanctioning body (including but not limited to the state of California, County of Alameda, US Soccer Federation, US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, NorCal and Cal North), the Club will allow a reasonable amount of time to pass so as to ascertain whether or not and how much of the program will be completable for the current season. At that time, BUSC may offer refunds and/or credits for future programming, based upon the circumstances of the program(s) at the time of the decision. Such a determination will be made by BUSC, in its sole discretion.

Cancellation of Recreational Session Prior to Start Date

If BUSC cannot run the program due to COVID-19 restrictions at the local, state, or federal level, all registrants will receive full refunds to the credit card used to pay for registration for the Recreational Session. (See below for policy on refunds/credits if programs are halted or cancelled after they have begun.) There will be no need to request a refund in this instance. We will make our decision about the Recreational sessions based on guidance from our government officials--the specific timing of this will depend on the circumstances at the time. If the programs are cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, refunds will be provided within 7-10 business days of the decision to cancel.

Pandemic Policy for In-Progress Recreational Program

In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020, should BUSC move, delay, or cancel programming WHILE IN PROGRESS due to a decision, or upon the advice of a governing entity or sanctioning body, including but not limited to the state of California, County of Alameda, US Soccer Federation, US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, NorCal and Cal North, we may offer refunds and/or credits for future programming. Such a determination will be made by BUSC, in its sole discretion and based upon the circumstances of each individual program at the time of the decision.

For our competitive programs, our coaching staff will evaluate players by birth year. It is less common for players to play up beyond the U9 age group. If our coaches feel a player's development would benefit more by playing on an older team than a team within their true birth year, a coach will discuss the opportunity with the player and parents during the tryout process. Playing down is not allowed except for in specific circumstances within our MLS Next program.

For our recreational programs, all players must play with their own birth year. We do not allow players to play up or play down.

Ballistic United Soccer Club takes concussions very seriously. All players suspected to have or diagnosed with a concussion will be required to seek a medical evaluation and present a doctor notice indicating that they have been evaluated which should include a "return to play" protocol to be given to the coach or a club official before they will be allowed to return to participate.  There are NO exceptions to this policy. See more concussion information on the following link as needed.
