Split results for BUSC MLS NEXT teams on Day One of Flex playoffs

Ballistic United MLS NEXT teams got off to mixed results on the first day of the MLS NEXT Flex playoffs, Friday in Maryland.

The U-16 squad came out on top in their match, while the U-19 team fell short in their opener.

In the U-16 game goals from Alex Fierros, Walker Blake, and Nico Colmenares put the team up 3-1 against Shattuck from Minnesota, but they lost a player to a red card, forcing the team to play the second half with just 10 players.

Shattuck eventually drew even 3-3 and forced the game to penalty kicks.

Eddie Siladie, Blake, and Christopher Rodriguez all made their PK’s and goalie David Peregrina made three saves to give Ballistic the win.

The U-19n dropped a 2-0 final to the Indiana Fire Academy team.
